Matthew 6:24 is brief, but deeply confronting. Jesus says no one can serve two masters. We cannot serve both God and money. This message explores the issue of loyalty: not simply whether we possess money, but whether money possesses us. The question is not only what we have, but whom we serve.

The teaching shows that money can become more than a tool. It can become a master, shaping decisions, fears, ambitions, and identity. Jesus places the matter plainly before us. Divided worship is not sustainable. The heart will cling to one and despise the other, love one and hate the other. Something will rule.

This passage calls us to examine our trust, priorities, and obedience. Do we look to God as provider, or to wealth as security? Do we use what we have in service to the Lord, or do we bend our lives around gaining and keeping more? Christ calls us to single-hearted devotion, where God alone is master and everything else is held in submission to Him.
