Why believe in God? For many people, that is not simply a religious question. It touches what we believe about truth, life, death, Jesus Christ and whether there is real hope beyond the world we can see. You may have grown up around Christianity, walked away from it, or perhaps never really considered it at all. This three-part series does not assume that you already believe. Instead, it simply invites you to pause, ask some honest questions and consider whether the Christian message might actually be true.
Across these three studies, we begin by considering the Bible, the historical person of Jesus and His invitation to those who are weary. We then look at the resurrection and the testimony of those who said they saw Jesus alive after His death. Finally, we come to the heart of the Gospel itself - why Jesus went to the cross, what it means to be made right with God, and the Bible's call to repentance, faith and new life in Christ. Where do we even begin when asking whether God is real? Part 1 considers the Bible as a much larger picture than any single verse, the historical reality and extraordinary influence of Jesus of Nazareth, and His invitation to those who are weary and carrying the burdens of life.

Death forces us to ask questions that are easy to avoid at other times. Part 2 considers the Christian hope beyond death, the resurrection of Jesus, and the testimony of the apostles who claimed to have seen Him alive. It also asks us to judge Christ by who He is, rather than by the failures of imperfect Christians.
